Comma What?

My father had left our house in the midst, of a fight between Lindsey and my mother. My mother was trying to get Lindsey to go with her to the Y to swim. Without thinking, Lindsey had blared "I'd rather die!" at the top of her lungs. My father watched as my mother froze, then burst fleeing to their bedroom to wail behind the door. He quietly tucked his notebook in his jacket pocket, took the car keys off the hook by the back door and snuck out.

Story Spinners: Option_1

As the old man approached my friends and me we could hear his gibberish words in the distance. We all looked at each other and tried to make out what he was saying , but none of us really understood what he had said. We all could tell that he was homeless by his looks and him being barefoot.

All he was carrying was a big black flashlight and he had it on shining it in our eyes. We all were so glad that we had our bicycles because he came up to us and begged us for money, but i had remembered all the times that my parents had told me to not talk to strangers. If they ask for anything to just ignore them and walk away or if you have to run away and scream for help.

So after we nicely told him we had nothing to give him he started chasing us so we all ran and jumped on our bicycles as fast as we could and went to my house and told our parents what happened and they called the cops. After that day we never had any troubles with any homeless people.
